Perplexity AI offers a straightforward billing, subscription, and refund system, making it easy to manage your account. Here’s a comprehensive overview of payment methods, subscription management, cancellation, and refund policies to help you make the most of your experience with Perplexity AI.
Perplexity AI accepts multiple payment methods for user convenience:

Downloading Subscription Payment Invoices
If you need to access an invoice or receipt for your subscription payment:
Go to "Settings" and scroll down to the “Subscription” section under Perplexity Pro.
Click "Manage Subscription" to open the current plan page.
In "Invoice History", select the billing date you need.
A new window will open with an option to download the invoice or receipt.
Updating Billing Information
On a Computer: In "Settings," go to "Subscription" under Perplexity Pro, click "Manage Subscription," and find “Billing and Shipping Information.” Click “+ Add payment method” to update.
Open the Google Play app, tap the profile icon, and go to "Payments & subscriptions."
Select "Payment methods" and then "More payment settings."
Sign in to Google Pay if prompted, then update your payment information.
Subscription Management
How to Subscribe
To subscribe to Perplexity Pro, follow these steps based on your device:
On a Computer: Select "Learn More" under "Try Pro" in the side menu or go to the "Settings" page. Choose a monthly or yearly plan and complete the payment.
On iOS and Android: Tap the settings icon, go to “Perplexity Pro → Learn More,” and select your desired plan.
Subscription Pausing and Renewal
Perplexity AI does not offer a pause option for subscriptions. If you cannot make a payment or wish to take a break, you’ll need to cancel your subscription and restart it when ready. If your subscription is not renewed, it will automatically revert to the free version after the billing cycle, removing Pro features.

How to Cancel Your Subscription
To cancel your subscription, use the instructions specific to your device:
On a Computer: In "Settings," go to "Subscription" under Perplexity Pro, select "Manage Subscription,"then click "Cancel plan."
On iOS: Open the App Store, tap your profile icon, go to "Subscriptions," and select "Perplexity - Ask Anything" to cancel.
On Android: In the Google Play app, tap the profile icon, go to “Payments & Subscriptions,” select “Perplexity - Ask Anything,” and cancel at the bottom of the screen.
Account Deletion and Subscription: Deleting your Perplexity AI account will not cancel your subscription. Ensure you cancel your subscription before deleting your account to avoid charges.
Reactivating a Canceled Subscription
You can easily reactivate a canceled subscription by going to "Settings," finding "Subscription" under Perplexity Pro, and selecting "Manage Subscription." From there, click "Renew plan" or "Update plan" and complete the payment.
Refund Policy
Refund policies vary depending on the type of subscription and your location:
EU, UK, and Turkey Customers: If you cancel within 14 days of purchase, you’re eligible for a refund on both monthly and annual subscriptions.
Other Regions:
Monthly Subscriptions: Eligible for a refund within 24 hours of purchase.
Annual Subscriptions: Full refunds are available if canceled within 72 hours of purchase.
Requesting a Refund
To request a refund, follow these instructions based on your device:
On a Computer: Go to perplexity.ai/pro, click “Manage Subscription,” and select “Cancel Plan.” The option to request a refund will appear.
On iOS: Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your purchase, and select “Request a refund.”
On Android: Contact Perplexity support via email or Intercom for assistance.
Additional Refund Scenarios
Forgotten Subscription Renewal: Refunds may be issued if requested within the eligible time frames.
Switching from Annual to Monthly: Refunds are possible within the given refund periods. You’ll need to start a new monthly subscription after canceling the annual one.
Account Termination: If your account is terminated for violating Perplexity AI’s Terms of Use, no refunds will be issued for any remaining credit or prepaid service.
